A New "Generation"
But what do you do when transmit audio in an AES/EBU digital audio system and nothing comes out the other end? How can you verify that the sending unit is actually generating good data, that the data actually contains audio or that a receiving unit is working properly? In fact, some digital systems are so quiet that it can sometimes be difficult to determine whether the system is even on at all. So, an AES/EBU digital system presents special troubleshooting challenges. After gathering ideas from prospective users at trade shows and through email, Whirlwind engineers designed the AESQbox.
The LDS-610 from Leprecon is the latest in architectural dimming ideally suited for both retrofits and new installations. This space saving style of distributed dimming offers a variety of mounting options and can be easily daisy chained to make larger systems. The convection cooled 6-channel dimmer is equipped with 10A circuits and can operate in either a single or three-phase configuration. The terminal strip is conveniently located under the hinged front panel allowing for ease of wiring and access to electronics.Through the display based menu system, each channel can be defined as a non-dim, fluorescent or fixed intensity level. Output options include duplex, stage pin and twist-lock connectors. Optional two non-dim breakered duplex auxialiary connectors are available. .
The model VHD-180 is a PC/HD Component Down Converter that generates a standard analog NTSC or PAL video signal from an HD component or PC video signal. Output is either composite and S-Video or standard definition component (YPbPr) format. Both the PC and the HD component inputs have pass-thru connections. The unit can convert any analog component video signal up to 1080i can be converted to standard analog video. The VHD-180 also handles computer VGA resolutions up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) at 60Hz refresh rate.

Rolls - XLR112 and XLR113 plugs for installation. Now you can use regular pro audio gear in custom installations with only bare wires out of the wall. Using these plugs you have the advantage of plugable barriers and standard jacks with the disadvantages of neither. After begging manufacturers to supply these to us (mentioning no names) we tooled these up ourselves.

The VSA-31 Mini-Cat® is a 3 input A/V Switcher on a 4-gang wallplate transmitter and remote receiver. The VSA-31® provides individual buttons for turning the projector on/off and selecting the video source for display. It sends the selected AV to a remote receiver unit via 2 Cat5 Cables. No power supply is needed for the wallplate. The remote unit can be up to 750 ft away and has a built-in 12 Watt Stereo Amp which can drive a pair of 8 or 16 ohm speakers directly. A line output is provided for connection to an external amp if necessary. A Volume knob on the wallplate allows adjustment of the sound level. The VSA-31® automatically controls projector operation (on/off and source selection) via serial commands stored in the unit by just the touch of a button.

The Electro-Voice ® EVID C12.2 loudspeaker system is a high efficiency two-way ceiling loudspeaker package for high SPL applications. The loudspeaker features the EVID 920-8B transducer, a 12" coaxial with high power handling and 100 dB sensitivity. The integrated 64W transformer allows for use in 70V/100V applications, and includes automatic saturation compensation. Transformer tap selection is via a convenient switch on the front baffle.

Intelix recently announced the release of the AVO-MIC and AVO-MIC-WP, two affordable balun kits which transmit microphone audio and phantom power over standard Cat 5 cabling.

supervision. Final assembly of Stage Series products is
performed at the UniTec factory in Canton, Ohio. Our new Stage
Series product line includes ATA racks, broadcast rack,
PI racks, utility cases and rack accessories. The quality and
price of Stage products will set the standard for import cases
and racks. Please note, quantities will be limited however, we
will do everything within our power to keep up with demand.
